Daniel and Kasey travelled all the way from Florida to Alberta for a cozy winter getaway in the Canadian Rockies. While Daniel had visited Canada a few times before, this trip was extra special — it was his first time experiencing Banff with his girlfriend, Kasey, and he had a very important question planned. Daniel reached out to me in early November to inquire about having his proposal photographed in Banff, and I was beyond excited to help him plan such a meaningful moment. Together, we chose Lake Minnewanka as the perfect proposal location — and it couldn’t have been more magical.
A Lake Minnewanka Proposal in a True Winter Wonderland Daniel proposed to Kasey at Lake Minnewanka, one of Banff National Park’s most underrated and stunning locations. The scene was a true winter wonderland, with fresh snow blanketing the ground while the lake still had pockets of open water — honestly, the most perfect conditions for a winter proposal at Lake Minnewanka.
Kasey said yes, and right after the proposal, we continued with a relaxed engagement photo session at Lake Minnewanka to celebrate this exciting new chapter. The joy between them was contagious.
They even popped open a bottle of champagne, soaking in the moment and the breathtaking mountain scenery while beaming with excitement about their future together.
