Hi there! My name's Naty, and I'm a family photographer in Canmore and Banff National Park.
One of the biggest joys in my career is being a little part of my my clients' lives and to witness their life milestones- from engagements, weddings, maternity portraits, to actually capturing them becoming parents during the first days of their little one's life.
When people think of newborn sessions, many people may think of all the hassle of having to get ready and to get out of the house to a studio in order to have their photos taken. If you are a parent, you understand that can be a headache you don't want to deal with in the postpartum phase with a fresh new baby.
If you are a person, like me, who is not inclined to go to a studio for your baby's photos, here are 2 main reasons why a lifestyle newborn session , like this one, may be for you:

The session takes place right at your home which means no getting ready, no packing, no driving required. You can stay right in your nest where you and your baby feel the most comfortable.

Let's trade studio baskets and props for meaningful places and items around your home. Lifestyle newborn sessions are for those seeking meaning over perfection of props, posed babies, and lighting. As much as I try to seek the best location and lighting for my outdoor sessions, I love that I can let go of this during these sessions and capture the feel and atmosphere of my clients' homes as they are. I love seeking true, meaningful moments and memories through my lens and capturing all the little details that make this precious newborn stage so special.
