Summer elopement at Peyto Lake, Alberta

On July 3, deep in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, love took center stage as Sarah and Cass exchanged vows overlooking the turquoise waters of Peyto Lake. What began as a rainy afternoon quickly transformed into a stunning dreamy summer elopement at Peyto Lake filled with soft golden light, laughter, and heartfelt celebration.

Flying in from Ontario, Sarah and Cass chose Banff National Park for their elopement—a place that holds deep meaning in their hearts. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and alpine forest, they created an intimate moment shared with their three sons, close friends, and the breathtaking natural beauty of Alberta’s wild landscape.

The ceremony was led by Married by Cole, whose words were personal, emotional, and tailor-made for Sarah and Cass’ unique love story. Every word felt intentional and honest—an unforgettable reflection of their journey together.

Although the day began with a dramatic rainstorm, the skies soon opened up just in time for the hike up to the viewpoint, revealing the raw and untamed beauty that makes Peyto Lake so iconic. The moody skies gave way to rich colour and warm light, creating the perfect backdrop for Naty. Mike documented the day with a cinematic wedding film, preserving every laugh, happy tear, and the natural magic of the day.

This elopement was everything a mountain wedding should be: simple, soulful, and deeply connected to both place and people.

Congratulations, Sarah and Cass—your love is as boundless and beautiful as the Rockies that surrounded you. Mike & Naty
